A 62-year-old blind woman, Janet Olayiwola, has shown that there is ability in disability.
While many people with a similar health challenge as hers have resorted to begging as a profession, Janet dignifies herself by working to earn a living.
Videos of Madam Olayiwola have gone viral on social media through her first son, Timileyin Olayiwola, also known as Omoiya’s Instagram page, Dpastorofficial. Mama is fondly called Iya Timi by her teeming fans.
Janet, who is blind in both eyes, owns and operates a grinding machine to support her family financially.
In addition to sharing videos of his mother operating the machine, Timileyin also shares content of his mother doing household chores.

I have been blind for 13 years now. Doctors told me they cannot fix it.
She revealed that the moment after she went blind, many of her family and friends abandoned her. When hunger set in, she said she told herself that rather than go cap in hand begging on the streets for food, she remembered she has an abandoned grinding machine, she fixed it and started operating it to fend for herself and family.
She advised others in her condition not to condemn themselves as she noted that they can still become great in life despite their situation.

Son turns her blindness and hobby to content creating
Despite being blind, Janet is also a prayer warrior, a hobby her son has turned to content creating idea as he has continually and regularly shared several videos of her praying for people online.
This has fetched her many fans across the globe who in turns pamper her with cash and material gifts.

What amazes people most is the fact that despite her disability, her son, Timileyin, is proud to show her to the world as he continually pray that his mother would live long to reap the fruit of her labour.

Timi started posting his mum in 2022 and that was when his page became popular as a content creator.
His mum became the real content as he shares her daily-to-day activities.
Timileyin builds house for his blind mother
Through all her content, it would be seen that Janet Olayiwola lives in an old mud house and cooks with firewood. She revealed that she has been staying in that house for over 20 years.
Her son is currently building a more befitting house for her while he continually prays that she lives long to eat the fruits of her labour.
Timileyin through the house construction has shown that he is managing the resources the family gets from well-wishers well to give his mother a more befitting home.
