Popular content creator Mr Bishop has openly revealed that HIV/AIDS claimed the life of his wife, Clevy, who passed away nine months ago.
In an emotional video shared with netizens, he said his wife allegedly died from the disease, while he and their three children did not contract it.
He also addressed claims about his family’s finances, stating clearly that he was the breadwinner while she was alive and remains so after her death.

Mr Bishop recounts wife’s HIV/AIDS disclosure
Before notifying his fans that his wife died of HIV/AIDS, Mr Bishop told his fans that he wants to share a hidden battle he’s been struggling with. He said:
“My wife died in July and I buried her in August. A week before she died, she told me that she’s HIV+.”
He noted that he couldn’t tell anyone about it despite many insinuating that he used her for money rituals while his family members accused him of not taking proper care of their daughter thus leading to her untimely death. He claimed he bore all the insults so he could give her a befitting burial.”

The content creator who works with his wife explained that after the burial, he became depressed. He was scared that he had contracted the disease, until his friends urged him to get tested. He tested negative but, still unsettled, took another test at a different hospital with his children.
He lamented that his wife endured her illness in silence without informing him. She kept her in pain until her death. He added that she delivered their two children through caesarean sections. She never breastfed them because of her status.

Many people argued that, even if the allegation was true, he should have respected and honored his late wife. The believed her health status and the cause of her death should not be announced publicly. Some also criticized him for sharing such private information on social media. They warned that it could expose their children to stigma from society.

Gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu dies at 46
In another report, TrendIn reported that gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu died at the age of 46 after a long battle with her health.
She died on January 12. Her death was announced by her colleague, Alayo Melody Singer International.
