The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the timetable and registration requirements for the 2026 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course. Intending corps members are eagerly preparing to go to the camp.
The three-week programme will begin on Wednesday, August 5, and end on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Prospective corps members have also been advised to check their dashboards, where call-up numbers have already been uploaded.
Here are the key dates and essential documents every prospective corps member should know before heading to camp.

1. Know important NYSC orientation camp dates
Every prospective corps member should take note of these important dates:
- Orientation Course Begins: Wednesday, August 5, 2026
- Camp Registration: August 5–7, 2026
- Swearing-In Ceremony: Friday, August 7, 2026
- Orientation Course Ends: Tuesday, August 25, 2026
The NYSC advised prospective corps members to arrive early and complete registration within the stipulated period.
“Preparation is the first step to a successful service year.”
2. Check your NYSC dashboard before travelling
NYSC has uploaded call-up numbers to the dashboards of prospective corps members.
Call-up letters will also be available before camp opens.
Before travelling, ensure you:
- Check your dashboard regularly.
- Print your Green Card.
- Download your Call-up Letter immediately it becomes available.
- Print your Addendum.
These documents will be required during camp registration.
3. Bring these essential documents to orientation camp
To avoid delays, every prospective corps member should carry:
- NIN/NERD verification documents (as applicable)
- Original Degree Certificate or Statement of Result
- School Identity Card
- Eight to ten recent passport photographs
- Green Card
- NYSC Call-up Letter
- Addendum
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Medical Report (for health-related redeployment or camp exit)
- Professional practising licence (for medical graduates)
- SIWES/Industrial Training (IT) Letter for Polytechnic graduates
Officials may request both originals and photocopies during registration.
4. Corps members should make photocopies and prepare ahead
Prospective corps members should organise their documents before leaving for camp.
NYSC recommends bringing the original copies alongside three or four photocopies of each document.
Proper preparation will help speed up verification and reduce registration delays.
Remember to travel safely and avoid night journeys.
As the NYSC advises, “Your safety is as important as your successful mobilisation.”
A well-prepared corps member is more likely to enjoy a smooth orientation experience and begin national service with confidence.
